Coatings specialist Lhottelier-R2A has been part of Royal Kaak since 2007. When the French company, based in Contres, in Centre-Val de Loire, started looking for a take-over candidate at the turn of the century, the management expressed a preference for Kaak, as that would help preserve the company’s family character and ethos. The take-over was also a good fit because both companies operated at the upper end of the market segment. At the time, Lhottelier-R2A coated forms for biscuit manufacturers for 70% of the French market. The company continued in 2011 under the name Kaak Coating Service.
